I thought of you today
of all the things you used to say
your face became so clear
as if you were standing here

The memories came flooding back
as if time stood still within its track
It was as if you never have gone
but it was only memories that carried on

The words you said when I was young
in a flash they all had begun
to come to the forefront of my mind
as if I was standing still in time

Some of them would make me so mad
while others seem to have me glad
to be able to take the time to think of you
and all the silly things you used to do

As I stand and ponder on the thoughts
of all the lessons you have taught
the days of anger seems to have gone away
only happy thoughts managed to stay
