At peace

At peace I feel in this place
life is at a slower pace
no need to rush no need to hurry
for here I have not a worry

So calm I feel when I come here
for just a moment I feel no fear
the outside world is kept at bay
all my troubles have gone away

Thank you God for making this spot
where I can come and worry not
of all that seems to be around me
here I sit ever so peacefully

I sit, I think about my life
and leave behind all of my strife
how good it feels to sit and ponder
of what lies ahead my mind does wonder

When I leave I feel all relaxed
walking away I want to come back
to sit here day in and day out
to figure just what life is about
