Your not alone

When your life seems to be on the last hurrah
and you seem to have no where to go
reach out to your friends around you
they will show you its just not so

There are days we say why bother
this life is way to hard
we wonder why we struggle so
and quickly put up our guard

It is times like this that you must see
no matter what you think or feel
those friends you have around you
are very true and oh so real

They are there to catch you as you fall
no matter how low you seem to go
for if they are the truest friend
they will pick you up from your deepest low

Never think your all alone
no matter how bleak things may be
for if you just put out the call
we will be at your side to help thee

We may not have the answer
to the problem that's at hand
but know we will forever be there
to pick you up and help you stand

For this is how we get through
by reaching out to one another
no one was standing there with book in hand
on that day we became a mother

We learn the lessons one by one
as we try to get past each day
and we are thankful we have someone
to help us along the way

I make this promise to you my friend
with a cross upon my heart
we will stand side by side
and together make each day a new start

I want you to know that you did not fail
even though that is what you seem to think
I will be there for you as you for me
when you feel your standing on the brink

Stand strong and proud as you can be
know in your heart you will make it through
for no matter what you feel
