Remembering Linda

Dear Sweet Linda,

Though I never got to fully know you, you found a special place within my heart. I met you though you may not remember, and for that I am ever so grateful... for meeting you was so very special to me. In front of me I saw a young girl with the biggest battle in front of her handing it with such grace and poise. Even through your pain you still manages to have that sweet smile and your wonderful personality shine through. Though your life on this earth was ever so short those left behind shall always remember you. You gave everyone around you such strength when it was you that needed it the most. It is always so sad when a love one passes and the pain is ever so hard to handle. Knowing that you are now living with the angels, no longer in pain you can now fly with the angels and keep a watchful eye on those that are left behind remembering you with such joy and sweet memories that you have given them. Sleep well and above all know that you will always be in our prayers.

Those we love never go away, for they walk beside us everyday.

With great sadness, I regret to inform you of the passing of my niece, Linda Duffy, yesterday, Friday, September 8, 2006. She fought a tough battle with synovial sarcoma (cancer in her neck) since December, 2004. She was seventeen years old on August 2nd.  She was a sweet girl who loved to babysit the little girls next door, hang out with her friends and who's favorite color was pink.

It is so hard to understand the loss of one so young.  But just as God knew us before we were born, and knows the number of hairs on our heads, He knows the number of days we have on this earth. He has a purpose for each one of us, however long or short our time is and whether we we know that purpose now or much later. Linda touched many peoples lives in many different ways all over the world.  This was seen by the prayers that were lifted up for her from 49 states and 24 countries. Thank you for all those prayers. They were a great comfort to Linda and her family!

Your prayers for healing were not in vain. A wise pastor many years ago explained healing can happen on different levels. It can happen now or later, physically or spiritually.....or......He can give us the ultimate healing- free from pain and suffering and the opportunity to be with Him. This is the healing He gave Linda.

Most Sincerely,

Mary Cauller Linda's Aunt
