Is this Goodbye?

I heard the words but were they real?
was it a really a true goodbye?
or perhaps it was just a lie

Seems so final no turning back
no more hello how are you
or what do you want to do

"This will be my last contact with you..."
Those were the words you said
The ones I can not get out of my head

"I know you have so many friends..."
are they supposed to make up the loss
of the friendship that was so easily tossed?

Are three words I never thought
I'd ever hear coming from you
with all that we have been through

I guess its over now
There is nothing that I can do
